i was inpolite on the recent weekend. I was so busy - and i did not wait untill your answer. But you were very quick!!

Today question is: curl or Allow_URL_Fopen - which one should i choose.

well i run both extensons:

1. Jcollection and (which runs very very good - iguess that it makes use of curl - that means it runs well with curl - does nt it!?
2. book_library


To be frank: JCollection runs out of the box. I love it for its convenience and for its great usabillity!! IT is a top-extension


And i guess that JCollection is able to run with curl. it does not need Allow_URL_Fopen! What are your experiences?

Additonal question: Is it possible that Book_library (from Ordasoft) also runs with CURL !? Does it have t o run with Curl - (only)?

Hi,
as we have already discussed months ago, JCollection runs with either cURL (preferred) or allow_url_fopen (the upcoming version will probably need neither, but will alternatively support plain fsockopen). CURL is usually considered the better way, but not all systems have it installed. Regarding booklibrary: how on earth should I know that? I am not the developer, who - if I am not mistaken - sells the software.
