hello all,

i went trhough a nice learning curve so far.

After solving different issues with the display
in right or left collumn. (while setting up the configuration ) now i am faced with new issues.


Now the creating of new items is not possible any more!

This was no problem at all. But now i cannot add any item.

What happened? Did i have changed some necessary settings!?

hello - i am back again!

well what i did is the following: here are the steps:

after having set a item i want to edit and create a info-set. while doing that i enter a new ASIN - and want to safe the data - in the "info-fields"

i get the response: "Could not save info set"

well - what happened!? i do not understand this!?


on a sidenote: i have installed the jcollection on two sites
a. jobstarters.org
b. linux-board.com

- after having managed to get it to run on jobstarters.org i copied all the settings to linux-board.com

I thougth that i have the same conditions - on both sites.

well i am able to create new items on jobstarters.org - but not on linux-board.com - well i do not understand this!

by the way: i do the following steps:

after having created a item i apply this
then i save all the data.

after that i continue:

in the overview i see that the item has been (basically) created. Now i try to continue....
i call the item and edit - the asin and enter several data to the info-fileds.

After having created a new set of 4 books for a new category i try to publish them via a content list.

This works well - but not without applying a permanent overwrite!

without that - the images do not show u.

note:

- right block was created two days ago.
- left block was created today!

it appears to me you want a 24/7-no-brains-everlything-works-without-me-having-to-read-anything support. Sorry that I have to tell you that JCollection is free software and the whole project is a personal one-man-project, and as happy as I am to spend my few hours spare time on the weekend helping people getting it running (and I am actually really happy people using it and give feedback), I simply reached my limit here. When I am exclusively trying to get your personal installation(s) running, I cannot play with my daughter, be with my wife, or fix bugs (or, or, or).
As I've already mentioned, everything here is free (as in beer as well as in freedom), but I also offer paid support, which then includes getting the stuff you want running and/or customized extensions. Admittedly, then I also cannot play with my daughter, but I can at least tell my wife that I am actually getting paid for my work and another lost weekend.
