Hi Thorsten, happy new year!! ...I need your help or suggestions again. Is there a way to show the latest items in the home page. I wish to show a list of latest items (only the image, ie: book covers) in the home page. Thank you

Hi,
the easiest would be to use the "JCollection list" module, it can also display categories (with or without items in subcategories) and sort them according to the date. At the moment, this is basically the only way, because without manual interaction it is not possible to change the default sort criterion when displaying items in a category. I'll see if I can find a better solution.

Hi, thanks for your answer. Adopting this solution I should use the JCollection list from menu, shouldn't I? But I wish to show the list like an article at the top of home page.

Hi, at the moment, the module is still the best solution for that. You can, for example, put the module in a different position, or you can use a Joomla plugin to include modules into articles (I am pretty sure something like this exists). If this does not work for you, I could extend the content plugin to display the newest items, shouldn't be to much hastle. Thorsten.

Hi Thorsten,

as you can see I've managed to show last items.

I've added a class to JCollection that permits me to choice custom template from a drop-down list in the back-end module creation for mod_jcollection_list.

Now I have to resolve url routing.

Even if the final item is the same, i've got different url if I open it from left category menù or from the last items list.
