TOPIC: Another Import Problem
#347
Another Import Problem 1 Year, 10 Months ago
After the import from about 800-1000 Items from the Collection manager I get the following error message:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 134217728 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 3145728 bytes) in /home/www/web141/html/libraries/domit/xml_domit_lite_parser.php on line 927

My technichian says, there is enough memory available, so what can I do to make the import work?

Hi,
I haven't tested the import for such a huge collection. At the moment, the whole collection is imported at once, meaning that it consumes a lot of resources. I'll try to change this behaviour so that it can import in chunks. In your case - if that is feasible -, you could try to simply delete the items that have already been imported and do another import. Or, although 128MB memory available for PHP are indeed plenty, you could also try to temporarily increase this value to 256MB or 512MB (by setting the right options in your php.ini).
HTH,
Thorsten.
