hello Thorsten, good evening!

thx for reviewing the ideas - and for having a closer look at bibtip.com

interesting to get to know what you think about it.

Guess that they only work for opac-catalogues... And for big-libraries.

What bout this: perhaps even more interesting see this here_

www.bibsonomy.org
www.bibsonomy.org/help/doc/index.html
www.bibsonomy.org/help/doc/api.html
www.bibsonomy.org/help_en/User%20scenarios

see the api - the user-scenarios... get inovolved: Great concepts.
we need to implement these things!!

curious to get to know what you think!?

BibSonomy

BibSonomy is a system for sharing bookmarks and lists of literature. When discovering a bookmark or a publication on the web, you can store it on our server. You can add tags to your entry to retrieve it more easily. This is very similar to the bookmarks/favorites that you store within your browser. The advantage of BibSonomy is that you can access your data from whereever you are. Furthermore, you can discover more bookmarks and publications from your friends and other people.

We have just released our brand new API, along with a customized JabRef client. Get access now! Please note, although no boardcode and smiley buttons are shown, they are still useable

end of cit!

Hi,
this looks actually quite interesting. My next task is to include lists that fetch their entries from webservices, and I believe Bibsonomy would fit in nicely. Thanks!
Thorsten.

hi there - Hello Thorsten!

thx for reviewing. Happy that you like it.

BTW; saw this feature at the university-library (Heidelberg)

Also the bibtip.com (de) services: Both were implemented here and in many other catalogues.

Happy that you have created JCollection. It is a superb extension!

i love it.

And yes: i am currently setting up my PayPal-Account and you will receive a little (small) donation
within the next week

Hi,
just a short update on BibSonomy: I added a small plugin such that BibSonomy search results (for example searching for the item title) are shown after an item. I don't know if it would be worth it to extend it to a full webservice support for importing items, such as Amazon or alike...
Cheers,
Thorsten.
